Soft wall hose designed for transporting sand. It is connected to the sandboxes of the locomotives, which contain the sand used to increase the adhesion of the wheels on the rails during start-up and for sliding in special situations.
Material
Inner tube: black, smooth synthetic rubber.
Reinforcement: high-strength synthetic cord; Cover: black, smooth (wrapped finish), synthetic rubber.
Characteristics
Standard: hose according to EN 45545-2:15 HL2 for indoor (R22) and outdoor (R23) use.
Temperature Range: from -40°C (-40°F) to +90°C (+194°F).
